I am very disappointed that I was not notified by email in advance about the increase in Fedex shipping rates effective October 5th. I suffered a financial loss of 2013 yen because I used for "Order Modification Available" feature not knowing my shipping hates were revised. Posting a notification that I don't know exists is inadequate communication on such an important subject. In the past, you have sent emails to customers specifically advising them of shipping rate increases. You sent me an email to proudly announce "new lower shipping rates" when Fedex FICP was introduced, but no email when those shipping rates increased. Very disappointed with the poor communication on this subject. And all CD Japan is willing to do is "apologize for my inconvenience" but no apology or goodwill adjustment for the financial loss I incurred.

Lately the tool that estimates shipping costs keeps choosing elongated boxes for products that shouldn't need them (for example 2 books) when choosing DHL which makes it too expensive to choose that shipping option, even though it'd be my preferred one usually. It estimated a cost of 92 British pounds for shipping a book and a flat pouch due to putting it in an awkwardly shaped box, so I had to choose a different carrier. It feels like the estimation tool isn't working correctly

Packaging is always first rate, the best for music purchases. Track listings (in English) are always appreciated for new releases. Thank you.

I received parcels on September 29. After opening the packages, I found that the CD jewel cases inside both parcels had cracks of varying degrees. I am very disappointed and writing to request after-sales support for this issue. I have trusted CDJAPAN for its product quality and shipping service, which is why I made this purchase. However, the packaging for this shipment was clearly inadequate. The CDs were stacked flat in a 2+1 arrangement, wrapped only in a single layer of bubble wrap. There were no individual dividers or securing protection between each CD. The items bumped and pressed against one another during transit, which directly caused the damage to the jewel cases. I selected standard parcel shipping. That said, damaged cases like this should not be an inevitable result even for standard shipping. The packaging quality fell far below my expectations for CDJAPAN.
