Be Perfunctory [Limited Release]Faye WongGreat reissue compilatoonI was excited to hear about this reissue. The music itself is perfect, however I have some reservations on how it has been cut. It doesn’t appear to be good on parts of the low end where most of these songs would benefit from the range. It’s very vocal forward and there a slight clicks between songs. If you missed out on the HK release, this would be ok , or get the new release of the 10” EP set.

DAGURIKosuke MineSharp, Minimal, Hypnotic GrooveDAGURI by Kosuke Mine is the kind of record that pulls you in quietly, then refuses to let go. It’s lean and focused—more about tension, space, and forward motion than flashy solos—so every phrase and rhythmic shift feels intentional. On vinyl, the atmosphere really lands: the low end is tight, the mids feel present and textured, and the overall mix has a raw, intimate edge that suits the music’s stripped-down intensity. It’s an excellent late-night listen—moody, cerebral, and surprisingly addictive the more time you give it.

MAGICAL Ohashi Junko no Sekai 3 [100% Pure LP] [Limited Edition of 1000 Copies]Junko OhashiPure City Pop MagicThis limited “100% Pure LP” edition of MAGICAL Ohashi Junko no Sekai 3 by Junko Ohashi is exactly what the name promises—bright, elegant city-pop grooves with that glossy, late-night sparkle. The arrangements feel spacious and luxurious, with punchy rhythm sections, silky keys, and vocals that are both powerful and effortless. On vinyl, the whole album breathes: the basslines sit warm and deep, the percussion snaps cleanly, and the choruses open up in a way that makes you want to replay sides immediately. It’s the kind of record that works as focused listening and as perfect background for an evening at home.

Paper Drivers Music [Limited Release]Kirinjia repeatable and replayable spinThis limited LP of Paper Drivers Music [Limited Release] is a total joy if you like warm, detail-rich Japanese pop with that “city glow” polish. The music feels effortless—tight grooves, clever chord changes, and melodies that stick without trying too hard. It has that Kirinji magic where everything sounds smooth on the surface, but there’s a lot happening underneath (little rhythmic twists, playful arrangements, and vocals that sit perfectly in the pocket). As a record, it’s also just nice to live with: the presentation feels like a collector’s piece, and the album’s bright, summery energy makes it easy to throw on and let it run. If your shelf already has Shibuya-kei/city-pop adjacent favorites, this one fits right in—but it’s also approachable enough for a first-time Kirinji listen.

47' 45" [Limited Release]KirinjiShort, Sweet, and Addictive47' 45" [Limited Release] from Kirinji is a perfect little slice of their charm—compact, polished, and ridiculously replayable. The songwriting is tight and melodic, with that signature Kirinji blend of smooth groove, clever harmonic turns, and an effortless “cool” that never feels forced. Because it’s a shorter release, it hits fast: no filler, just standout moments that make you want to flip the record and run it back. On vinyl, the mix feels warm and lively, with the rhythm section snapping nicely and the vocals sitting right up front.

A Song for XX [Limited Edition]Ayumi HamasakiSongs for everyoneThis is an almost perfect Vinyl re-release of this classic debut album from a Japanese icon. The packaging perfectly recreates the original release. It even has the silvery texture and appearance of the original. They even added her name and album title to the front cover beautufully, something which wasn't on the original. The only down side to this release is I'm fairly positive this wasn't fully remastered. I think it should've been considering when it was first released. Still, I think the audio sounds better than the original CD release which is lovely nonetheless. There's quite a few early jams on this album, which I adore like "Hana", "A Song for xx", "poker face", "YOU", "Depend on you" and "SIGNAL". Definitely reccomended!!

LIFE is... [Limited Release]Ken HiraiKen IS......a fantastic talent. This album is one of my favorite albums from the earlier half of his career. It has so many wonderful songs on it. The opening song Strawberry S3x along with I'm So Drunk are a lot of fun and my personal favorite more upbeat tracks on the album. The sound on the vinyl is fantastic too. The packaging is very simple. It has the line-drawing design on front and back with tracklist. The center fold is just the tracklisting again and album credits. However, there is a sweet Thank You note mentioned amongst this. It also includes a double sided inside sheet with the lyrics for every song laid out nicely. Sadly there's no extra photos of the singer. It does however come with a cute sticker of the album cover and a clear plastic slip for taking care of it. Recommended!!

I am... [Limited Edition]Ayumi HamasakiShe is...Perfect. This is a fantastic re-release of Ayu's legendary 4th masterpiece. There's sooo many great iconic songs on this album and I just love how they sound on this new vinyl. The center of each vinyl recreates the design of the original CD with the sandy color and dove, and the rest of the packaging also recreates the original CD release as well. It's a stunning design. Plus, while not mentioned on the song list, the hidden track "flower garden" from the original release is still included. Super highly recommended to all Ayu and JPOP fans!!
