『牙狼＜GARO＞』10周年記念作品! シリーズ初のアニメ作品「牙狼＜GARO＞-炎の刻印-」の4年後をオリジナルストーリーで描く、完全新作劇場版アニメーション! 監督はTVシリーズ「牙狼＜GARO＞-炎の刻印-」に引き続き新鋭・林祐一郎が担当。脚本には『進撃の巨人』や『ジョジョの奇妙な冒険』など数々のヒット作を手がける小林靖子。そしてアニメーション制作は『うしおととら』『神撃のバハムート GENESIS』『坂道のアポロン』などアクション・サスペンス・ドラマなど様々なジャンルを見事に映像化してきたMAPPAが担当。ボイスキャストも「炎の刻印」に引き続き、浪川大輔、堀内賢雄、朴ロ美、野村勝人といった豪華なメンバーが再集結。ゲスト声優には、萩原聖人、小宮有紗、富田美憂が登場! ――黄金騎士"牙狼"の称号を受け継いだレオンは、ヴァリアンテ王国王子アルフォンソと共に次代の騎士を育てていた。そんな折、レオン達に隣国バゼリアに巣食う"最も美しい"と言われているホラーの討伐指令が下る。時を同じくして次代の騎士候補が何者かに誘拐されてしまう。必死に追走するレオン。だが、敵に阻まれ窮地に陥ってしまう。それを救ったのは行方知れずとされていたバゼリア根付きの魔戒騎士ダリオであった。彼の導きで辿り着いた街。そこで会ったのは余りに意外な人物であった。 初回限定版は、最新インタビューやキャラクター紹介を網羅した特製ブックレット(24P)、CD"ORIGINAL SOUND TRACK 10"(全14曲/JAM Projectによる主題歌、佐咲紗花が歌うエンディングテーマも収録)封入。
