1- Recovery of an MMO Junkie [Netoju no Susume]

Moriko Morioka quits her successful job at 30 and becomes an elite NEET(not in education, employment, or training). She spends her days playing an online game called Fruits de Mer. Moriko chooses to create a male character as her avatar in this game, where she meets another player named Lily, who becomes a close friend of Moriko. On the other hand, in the real world, Moriko has a destined encounter with a handsome man named Yuta Sakurai, who may have ties to her gaming life. It turns out they may have deeper connections than they could ever imagine.

2- No game, No Life

Sora and Shiro are siblings who are undefeated gamers in online gaming. One day, a god from another reality challenges them to play chess with them. In the end, they find a chance to live in a world that centers around games. Since they think it is a joke, they accept it and find themself in Disboard, a different reality. There are rules they must follow. People of Disboard can't harm each other. They need to resolve their differences with games.

3- Hikaru no Go

This anime tells the story of a boy named Hikaru Shindou and his progress while learning an ancient board game, Go from a go-master spirit. After Hikaru finds a go-board in his grandfather's house, he meets an ancient go-master, Fujiwara no Sai. He was a teacher of an emperor during the Heian era, and now he wants to become his mentor. But Hikaru isn't interested in board games. But, as time passes, with Master Sai being persistent and the presence of a rival, Akira Touya, he is drawn into this complex game and becomes passionate about showing his new abilities.

4- Chihayafuru

This anime is about Chihaya Ayase's exciting journey to get the "Queen of Karuta" title that identifies the top-ranked female player. Karuta is a card game based on the Ogura Hundred Poets anthology. For this game, players memorize the poems. As the announcer reads a poem from the anthology, players try to determine which card contains the part of the poem. Then, players try to grab the card before it is grabbed by an opponent.

5- March Comes in Like A Lion [3-Gatsu no Lion]

Rei Kiriyama has a hard life since he is one of the few young professionals in the world of shogi, a popular board game in Japan. He moves into an apartment in Tokyo to become independent and free of the pressure from his family. He meets three sisters living with their grandfather. With her motherly nature, the oldest one is determined to help Rei take care of his loneliness and his health. As he struggles through his stressful shogi career, Rei starts to understand his own emotions and improve his communication skills.

7- Saki

Since childhood high school student Saki Miyanaga has hated mahjong. But she is very talented. One day, her friend Suga drags her to the school's mahjong club to play. But she doesn't want to stand out, so she tries to keep a low profile. Still, players at the club find out about her talent and make Saki join the club. And with her new companions, Saki has a goal to win the national tournaments.

Wotakoi

This fun story is about otaku's balance between their office life and private life. This anime is not completely about video games, but otaku friends frequently gather in an online game to enjoy playing.
