About the Author

This article contains spoilers, but since this month is full of love and gratitude, we hope it will help you to make your own favorite couple list.

1- Wataru Takagi and Miwako Sato [Detective Conan]

When I say Detective Conan, you probably thought I would mention Shinichi and Ran but no. My favorite couple from the Detective Conan series is Sato and Takagi. They are officers working under Inspector Megure in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. Fearless Sato and clumsy but determined Takagi will be on my favorite couple list. But also, I must admit that Kogoro and Eri were on my mind for a while. But since Kogoro never stops flirting with every woman he sees, and Eri is angry but determined not to divorce Kogoro but annoying him with using her maiden name, their relationship becomes too complicated for me, so all I can say is Sato and Takagi is my number one couple in the detective Conan series. I wonder if we are ever going to see their happy ending.

2- Mamoru Chiba and Usagi Tsukino [Sailor Moon]

After I grew up, I had the chance to watch different anime series. But I guess most of those born in the 80s and the beginning of the 90s can start their anime love with Sailor Moon. So here is a couple I should not forget to mention: Mamoru Chiba and Usagi Tsukino. It was magical to see them as a kid.

3- Misaki Ayuzawa and Takumi Usui [Kaicho wa Maid-sama]

The clever rescuer of all the female students in the school, Misaki Ayuzawa, and the handsome and talented boy who will irritate her forever, Takumi Usui, is one of my favorite couples.

Hardworking student council president Misaki Ayuzawa is always reliable for female students and strict with male students. She has a strong image that needs to be protected. Usui finds out about her secret, that she works in a maid cafe, and becomes interested in her. Misaki worries that other students will learn. She doesn't accept help from anyone else, especially men, but Usui becomes someone she can trust. Their interesting relationship is always fun to watch.

4- Hanako Koyanagi and Taro Kabakura [Wotakoi]

Hanako Koyanagi is a strict and hardworking woman with a short temper. Her co-workers admire her. On the other hand, Taro Kabakura looks like a frightening man who is serious about his work.

As a couple, they've often seen arguing in public, it looks like they are competitive, but when Koyanagi and Kabakura are alone, they get along pretty well. I love watching this couple. They are also otaku, of course.

5-Tomoe and Nanami [Kamisama Kiss]

Nanami is an honest student who becomes homeless because of her father's debt. Mikage gives her his house to show his gratitude for saving him. She meets Tomoe, a fox yokai, in her new home, which is a shrine. She falls in love with him. But Tomoe isn't fond of the love between a human and yokai [supernatural creatures in Japanese folklore] idea. But in the end, he falls for her. It is really an enjoyable story to watch.

6- Aoi and Holmes [Holmes of Kyoto]

Kiyotaka Yagashira is a very talented young man working as an appraiser. And he solves difficult cases using his skills. That's why people call him Holmes. Aoi is a young, straightforward woman who starts to work as a part-timer in the antique shop where Holmes works. She is impressed and attracted by his abilities. But somehow, they miss the chance to confess to each other. Still, it is fun to see them together on the screen.

7-Himura and Kaoru [Rurouni Kenshin]

Himura knows how to appreciate life because of his past. Kaoru has a strong will and is an independent woman. After meeting and being rescued by Himura, Kaoru allows him to stay in her dojo. After that, their relationship evolves.

8-Ryo Saeba and Kaori Makimura [City Hunter]

As you may notice, I love the female characters to be independent, strong, and a little tomboy. These features also describe Kaori, who becomes a massive support for Ryo, while he acts as City Hunter. In the beginning, Ryo has no feelings toward Kaori. But he starts to show interest in time. And especially in the spin-off, Angel Heart, after losing Kaori, we can see how much Ryo misses her. They have great chemistry.

9-Anzu and Tsukasa Kazuki [Romantic Killer]

Anzu has no interest in romance. The only things that she cares about are video games, chocolate, and her cat. But one day, she gets chosen by a bizarre wizard as a guinea pig in a new project. Now she has to leave her favorite things behind and focus on romance. All of a sudden, her life becomes full of hot guys that she has never noticed before. Well, Anzu couldn't choose between candidates yet, but my favorite candidate is Tsukasa Kazuki.

10- Fujiko Mine and Lupin [Lupin the Third]

Fujiko has many skills and is a master of disguise. She loves Lupin but rarely reveals her affection towards him. She frequently betrays Lupin to get close to the enemy, but Lupin easily forgives her. Since Lupin is a womanizer, I guess this maintains the balance in their relationship. Still, they are one of my favorite couples to watch in the anime series.

Here is my list. What is yours? Don't forget to share with us on social media.
