ANISON COVERS 3 [Regular Edition]

Created around the concept of "anime song cover albums for adults", the "ANISON COVERS" series presents classic anime songs, mainly from the 1980s and 1990s, with Moriguchi's distinctive vocals and a wide variety of arrangements. The previous release, "ANISON COVERS 2", also attracted considerable attention for its cover photo featuring Moriguchi's first bikini appearance in 34 years. It reached No. 8 on the Oricon weekly album chart and No. 5 on Billboard JAPAN's weekly "Top Albums Sales" chart. "ANISON COVERS 3" features ten timeless favorites, including two of the 1980s' biggest anime song hits, "CAT'S EYE" (the theme song for "Cat's Eye" (TV Anime)) and "Get Wild" (the ending theme for "City Hunter" (TV Anime)). Collaborations with an impressive array of musicians on individual songs have been another major attraction of the "ANISON COVERS" series. Numerous musicians are also scheduled to participate in this album (subject to change), and the lineup looks set to attract attention.

"大人のためのアニソンカバーアルバム"をコンセプトに誕生した「ANISON COVERS」シリーズでは、1980～90年代を中心としたアニソンの名曲を森口ならではの歌声と多彩ななアレンジでカバー。前作「ANISON COVERS 2」では、34年ぶりに披露したビキニ姿のジャケット写真も大きな話題を集め、オリコン週間アルバムランキング8位、Billboard JAPAN「Top Albums Sales」週間ランキング5位を記録した。「ANISON COVERS 3」には、TVアニメ「CAT'S EYE」の主題歌「CAT'S EYE」、TVアニメ「シティーハンター」のエンディングテーマ「Get Wild」という80年代を代表する大ヒットアニソンをはじめ、時代を超えて愛され続ける名曲全10曲を収録。楽曲ごとに豪華ミュージシャンとのコラボレーションを繰り広げてきたことも「ANISON COVERS」シリーズの大きな魅力のひとつ。今作にも多数のミュージシャンの参加が予定されており、その顔ぶれにも注目が集まりそう。
