Isao Suzuki's Blow Up is virtuosity and class all rolled up into one. A great combination of upbeat blues and mellow grooves!

It is an excellent jazz record, made at a time when jazz as it was known in the 1950's and 1960's was a memory. And that it sounds current today is a testament in itself to its quality.

The trio sounds better than ever, simply magical!! Wonderful music recorded in outstanding quality!!

You really cant go wrong with Blowup, Misty, and Midnight Sugar. Tsuyoshi Yamamoto and Isao Suzuki are always worth listening to, but these sessions are amazing 1970's Japanese Jazz artefacts. The SACD and Vinyl are the best way to listen to this, although if you only have CD there is nothing wrong with that version either. The warm analogue feel of the SACD layer is amazing. Who said SACD is dead?

Misty is a very accessible and easily enjoyable album, so I don't think it would be hard to digest for most jazz-friendly music fans.

The best album by this duo, perfectly presented on 7" cardboard sleeve. Unfortunately only in stereo format; I really wanted the quadraphonic version, since the vinyl album was also released as a quadraphonic version in the 70s. There must be reasons for this, but it's still a shame.

Immediately became one of my favorite recordings. A master violinist, no question. The music as a whole is just so enjoyable, nothing is spot lit as if some one showing off, it's just natural on a an amazing level. The recording throws a full and pleasing sound stage.

I have listened to it a lot. Bought it for a memory. Very good sound and nostalgic songs. I recommend to others as well.

A wonderful collaboration between a horn player and a singer, perhaps the greatest of all time. This delicate, seductive album stands immortalised in time as tribute, a nod to the genius that was Coltrane/Hartman. The more you listen to it, the more subtle genius details reveal themselves to you, in particular how the saxophone helps tell the story with nuance, sensitivity and re-spect.

Magic for the ears. This is the highest quality modern classical music. Beautiful presented, wonderfully played - a masterpiece.

Incredible album by an incredible artist. Springsteen’s best and classic album. Happy to have this in SACD. The live discs are a huge plus.
