First off I want to say I loved the movie. It was much better then the censored U.S. version. You see the whole origin of Mewtwo at the start of the film and it really has its own set of emotion that the U.S. version didnt have. Pulse almost all the films original score was missing in the U.S. Version, but its all here. It is indeed true you do get the option of either original Japanese language or English language. The Japanese one in my opinion was better, just because it has more emotion and depth. The English language is identical in everyway to Kids WB version, including the music. The film itself is long the whole movie runs 129 Minutes. Recommended for all Pocket Monsters/Pokemon fans. Pulse it has my favorite Legendary Pokemon, Mewtwo! It was truly the best of all Pokemon Movies. But I also recommend that you get the newest Pokemon movie, "Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai". It looks amazing with god-like Pokemon waging war and disrupting the time and space continual. Hopefully I should get it any day now, and when I do you will see my great review.

I love this DVD to death! I can understand some Japanese (and it also helps to have a translated script in front of you) so I can understand most of the movie. I was kind of sad that the Japanese track didn't have any English subs. It's strange...you'd think that if the English track has Japanese subtitles then the Japanese track would have English subtitles. Oh well, I'm just happy to have it finally! The art and animation are amazing! Any Pokemon fan will love it!
Haha, I was so happy to finally see this in Japanese and see the baby Mewtwo. I'm such a loser... XD
This is orginal POKEMON movie before it came to the US. It has sceens in it that we don;t see in the US version of the film. It tells the story of when Mewtwo was a baby. Very well done, it has background music like always. More fighting then the US but it adds to the drama. I wish I had found the dvd early 5/5
