BRITISH LIGHT CLASSICS

[Machine Translation] All the songs are unfamiliar, but somehow nostalgic! The British soundscape is woven with secret songs that were never introduced. The United Kingdom has a unique classical culture. While other European countries were rapidly advancing their compositional techniques in the 20th century, the British continued to compose "easy-to-hear" music in the 20th century, which was sought after by a mature audience. This album is filled with the essence of such 20th century music in England. The familiar and beautiful works on this album are a wonderful expression of the British soundscape and evoke nostalgic feelings in the listener that are usually forgotten. Conductor Barry Wordsworth is a veteran conductor who has performed at the Proms and other events, and is well versed in the pleasures of classical music. This is a licensed recording from the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The recording engineer is Simon Yeadon of Decca Sound fame.
