amazing reissue of this classic doors debut that gave us unforgettable tracks like back door man and break on through, also the bonus tracks help a lot as well, the remastering on this is amazing in shm sound and the carboard lp replication down to the obi strip is just like the original lp was way back 47 years ago, a classic and a must for doors fans....
The Doors [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [Limited Release] Customer Reviews
The Doors
This is the 40th Anniversary Remix by Bruce Botnik i believe. It sounds like some midrange and bass were taken down as this remix sounds more guitar , organ driven. Morrison's vocals sound clearer and warm, I dig it! The drums sound clear and distinct, all the instruments sound clearer and more distinct than ever before. This remix is low and quiet allowing you to crank it up. The bass is definitly low in this remix , so the album has a different feel to it...but i like it. After all these years of listening to the original mix , this new remix sounds refreshing to me. I enjoyed listening to it , and will listen again for sure. I'm glad they did this remix. Mini LP is fantastic and nice quality.
SPLENDID PAPER SLEEVE..GOOD SOUND ALTHOUGH THE REMASTERED NEW VERSION OF PERCEPTION BOX IS ALSO TO CONSIDER...AS FOR THE MUSIC THE FIRST DOORS IS A CLASSIC BY NOW...THE DOCTOR
As the description states, the orginal artwork, cardboard sleeve, etc are perfect replicas and are really well done. However, if you're seeking killer sound, stay away from this version. It's not all that bad, but the 24-bit remaster that was done a year or two ago is FAR superior. If you have that version, pass on this one.
