Description

[Machine Translation] The Bolshoi Opera, Russia's world-renowned opera house, will perform the historical opera by Mussorgsky, one of the country's most famous composers, which is considered the greatest masterpiece in the history of Russian opera. Boris Godunov" is an opera based on the historical events of 16th century Russia. During composer Mussorgsky's lifetime, the opera was not a complete success, as it was regarded as unsympathetic and unpolished. After his death, it was arranged by the Russian composer Rimsky-Korsakov, whose version is performed in this production. There are many highlights, including "The Coronation," "Boris's Monologue," and "Boris's Death. Recorded at the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow, January 1987.
