Paice Ashton Lord - Live

[Machine Translation] This is a rare live footage of Pace Ashton Lord from 1977, the legendary band formed by Jon Lord of Deep Purple, who sadly passed away in July this year, with Ian Paice of Deep Purple and his old friend Tony Ashton. This rare live video of Pace Ashton Road was shot at the Golden Green Hippodrome in London on March 10, 1977 for the BBC TV and radio program "Sight & Sound In Concert". It was released on CD in 1992 and on DVD in 2008, and is now being re-released with Japanese subtitles! The band performed almost all songs from their only studio album "Malice In Wonderland", which was released just a week ago, as well as "The Ballad Of Mr. Mr. Wonderland" from Tony Ashton and Jon Lord's 1974 Ashton & Lord album, "First Of The Big Bands", and "The Ballad Of Mr. Wonderland" from the 1974 Ashton & Lord album, "The Big Bands". The Ballad of Mr. Giver" and a cover of James Taylor's "Steamroller Blues" are also included. Jon Lord stands tall in front of his familiar Hammond organ. Ian Paice plays funky rhythms that are different from those of Deep Purple. Bernie Marsden shows his versatile approach, from clean-toned cutting to hard distortion sounds. Paul Martinez plays driving lines with a pick. Tony Ashton sings expressively while playing the keyboards from time to time. A female chorus and horn section also join the band to create a funky, bluesy, and flavorful sound. The film also includes a 50-minute documentary titled "Lifespan," which was originally filmed as a movie. Originally filmed as a movie, it includes auditions, rehearsals, and backstage footage. Japanese commentary is included.
