TVドラマ「高校生レストラン」のDVD-BOX!! 実際に存在する高校生レストラン=「まごの店」をモデルに、料理人としては一流だが教師としては未熟者の新米臨時採用教師と、閉塞感を抱え将来への夢や希望を容易には持てない高校生たちが、ぶつかり合いながらも料理を通じて成長し、やがて"高校生レストラン"こそが、生徒と社会を繋ぐ真の教育の場であることに気付いていく姿を爽やかな感動と共に描く。松岡昌宏吹石一恵神木隆之介川島海荷ほか出演。 ――銀座の一流料亭の板前・村木新吾は、幼なじみの岸野宏に頼まれ、出身地・三重県にある相河高校の臨時教師となる。岸野は町おこしの一環として"高校生レストラン"をオープンさせようとしており、新吾は調理指導を頼まれたのだ。調理を担当する調理クラブの部員は30人ほど。そのなかには実家が定食屋でクラブのなかでも一目置かれている3年生の坂本陽介や、彼を慕う2年生の米本真衣らもいた。新吾が厨房を訪れると、調理クラブの面々は思い思いにハンバーグやクレープなどを作っていた。だが床は汚れ、食材は無駄に使われ、まるで文化祭ノリだ。それを見た新吾は挨拶もそこそこに、まず陽介の天ぷらにダメ出しをする。さらに新吾は部員たちを叱りつけた。「まずは掃除だ。嫌な者は帰っていいが、その代わり明日から来なくていい」新吾の態度に、生徒たちは次々に出て行ってしまう。残ったのは陽介と真衣を含む約半数の18人・・・。本編を収録したDVD5枚に加え、PR番組集、秘蔵メイキング映像、TVスポット集を収録の特典ディスクが付いた全6枚組。ブックレット封入。
