This is a best album by Hiroko Yakushimaru, who marks the 45th anniversary of her singing career, newly recorded in the studio and arranged for full orchestra for the first time. It contains 10 songs in all that have colored her 45 years as a singer, starting with her debut song "Sailor Suit and Machine Gun" and, of course, many theme songs from the films she starred in, such as "Detective Story", "Main Theme" and "Woman" from "W No Higeki", and going on to a cover of "Yume de Aetara", "Anata no Kotoba", for which she wrote the lyrics herself, and her newest song "Kimi to Watashi no Uta". The dramatic playing of the full Naoya Iwaki Pops Orchestra (NIPO), led by the young maestro Naoya Iwaki, who handled the orchestral arrangements for all the songs, and the piano of Satoshi Takebe, together with the voice of Hiroko Yakushimaru today, deeper and more radiant than ever, make this a luxurious disc on which these masterpieces, like so many jewels, shine anew. The Limited Premium Edition uses the high-quality SHM-CD format.
