ELP in their later years became more and more self indulgent to these ears, and Works Volume One exemplifies this. This is basically 3 solo records on one LP. The Emerson and Palmer material is not up to snuff, but the Greg Lake material makes this purchase worthwhile. His writing and playing is very emotive and compelling and years ,later I still go back to it. As for as sound quality the K2 mastering is wonderful with the definition and separation being the best I've ever heard on cd. The mini LP sleeve is well done as well. For fans of Greg Lake a worthwhile purchase.
