[Machine Translation] Uruguay's Azimuth! The long-awaited reissue of the Latin jazz-funk album by Opa, a band led by Hugo Fatoruso! The album features "Goldenwings" with its dense ensemble and spacy synths, "African Bird" with its Afro-Uruguayan "candombe" rhythm, "One - One + One is Two" with its Beatles-Bossa Nova influence, and "Corre Nina", one of the best jazz funk tracks on the album. The album also includes the killer jazz-funk "Corre Nina," the Brazilian composer Edu Lobo's "Casa Forte," and the mellow funk of "Back Home. The band's songwriting is astounding, the music is a fusion of soulful rock, jazz funk, and unique Uruguayan music, the synthesizers are as spacy as Azimuth's, and the musicianship is so intense that it is no wonder they have performed with Ron Carter, Aiart Moreira, Milton Nascimento, and many others. The groove of their performance is still shocking even today. This album has been sampled by Flying Lotus and Madlib in recent years, and is considered a holy book for the rare groove and hip-hop generation.
