As much as the Who’s original recording of this rock opera was groundbreaking, the movie and it’s plethora of superstars guesting, was a masterpiece and this album captures that magic of the movie.

this is a great soundtrack to ken russeles movie tommy in 1974 with all the music taken from the whos classic tommy album in 1969, this version is the soundtrack to the movie where you get tina turner for example singing acid queen instead of roger daltrey, this is an interesting album but first you would have to be a big fan of the tommy opera and also really like the film to get really into this cd set, in all this is really not an album by the who but it feateires some of the whos original tommy music as well as others from the cast singing it on this soundtrack, very well packaged, shm mastering is awsome and the replication of this to the original japan lp from 1975 is right down to the T i have the original japan lp and this is the same thing only smaller and its a cd good job, very well done .......
