Brian’s first album, probably the best solo album from a Queen member. Every song is a masterpiece. Great deluxe edition with many bonus tracks to complete the full experience of a man who left a very dark moment of his life to enter a new chapter with the light of another world ahead. Must have!

This edition comes with a bonus disc featuring alternate versions, B-side tracks, and live tracks. Includes a mini-reprint of the pamphlet from Brian's solo show in Japan in 1993 (20 pages, written in English).

オリジナル・アルバム『バック・トゥ・ザ・ライト～光にむかって～』の待望のリマスター・アルバム。本編は、ボブ・ラドウィックがオリジナルのマスターテープから新たにリマスタリングし、ブライアン・メイが自ら監修を行った。『バック・トゥ・ザ・ライト～光にむかって～』は、ブライアン・メイの初ソロ・アルバムだ。1992年のリリース時には、全英チャートでトップ10入り。本アルバムではブライアンが殆どの楽器を演奏している一方、コージー・パウエル、ディープ・パープルのドン・エイリー、クイーンのジョン・ディーコンらがゲストとして参加。本アルバムには、ヒット・シングル「ドリヴン・バイ・ユー」と「愛の結末」に加え、「華麗なる復活」、そしてクイーンのライヴで定番となったインストゥルメンタル曲「地平線の彼方へ」が収録されている。このタイムリーなリイシューは、ブライアン・メイの監修の下、各種フォーマットでリリースされ、ブライアン本人と共同プロデューサーのジャスティン・シャーリー=スミスが音響監督を務めると共に、長年クイーンのデザイナーとして活躍してきたリチャード・グレイが新たなアートワークを担当。ボブ・ラドウィックがリマスタリングを行っている。こちらのデラックス・エディションCDは6面デジパック仕様で、貴重な写真やアルバム解説を含む24ページのブックレット付き。CD2の『アウト・オブ・ザ・ライト』には、別ヴァージョン、B面曲、ライヴ・トラックを収録。1993年のブライアンのソロ来日公演時のパンフレットのミニチュア (全20ページ) (※1993年来日時と同じ全編英語版のミニチュア)封入。
