The original album title "Capricorn" is a coined word combining Jay's zodiac sign Capricorn, the character "jie" from his name, and "magic," which he was absorbed in at the time. The reason it contains few love songs and many "healing" songs lies in its strong message to a society that had grown despondent due to the global financial crisis (the Lehman Shock) and successive natural disasters around the time of the album's release. Musically, it is a masterpiece that of course features Jay's signature fusion of R&B, hip-hop, and Chinese music, while also letting you enjoy his side as a pianist. Comes with lyrics and Japanese translations. The DVD contains music videos of the single-cut tracks.

2008年に発表された9枚目のオリジナル・アルバム。オリジナル・アルバム・タイトル『魔杰座』は、ジェイの星座である「摩羯座 (やぎ座)」、名前から「杰」、そして本人が当時没頭していた「魔術 (マジック)」を掛け合わせた造語。ラヴソングが少なく「癒し」の歌が多く収録された背景には、アルバム発表当時世界的な金融危機 (リーマンショック)や相次ぐ自然災害により落ち込んでしまっていた社会へのメッセージが強いため。サウンド的にはR&Bヒップホップの中華音楽を融合させたジェイのシグネチャーはもちろん、ピアニストとしての一面も楽しめる名盤。歌詞・対訳付。DVDにはシングル・カット・トラックのミュージック・ビデオを収録。
