["モータウン60"キャンペーン] 失われた作品、遂に発表! あの傑作『ホワッツ・ゴーイン・オン』 (1971)に続くアルバムとして発売が予定されていながら、同名の先行シングルがクロスオーバー・ヒットとならなかったこともあってお蔵入りした1972年の未発表作品『ユーアー・ザ・マン』が、モータウン創立60周年を迎えた今年、初めてCDで発売! 各収録曲は過去の編集盤やデラックス・エディション等に収録されていたものの、1枚にまとめられるのは今回が初。その内「マイ・ラスト・チャンス」「シンフォニー」「アイド・ギヴ・マイ・ライフ・フォー・ユー」の3曲は、Nas、フージーズ、エイミー・ワインハウスらと長く関わってきた作曲家兼プロデューサーのサラーム・レミによって新たにミキシングされたヴァージョンで収録。更には、1972年の未発表クリスマス・シングル「アイ・ウォント・トゥ・カム・ホーム・フォー・クリスマス」のロング・ヴァージョンなどレアなトラックも追加。
