Description

[Machine Translation] [This is a sequel to the highly successful "JAZZ THE BEST" series, which carefully selected the best of the best from the "Universal Jazz" label, which combined the prestigious labels owned by Polydor, Mercury, and Universal Victor, and released a total of 50 titles. The 50 titles are released all at once. Clear and sharp high quality sound is realized by rubidium cutting. Includes a renewed manual (with new liner notes). Recorded in New York City on August 2 and 27, 1957. This is a 2-horn masterpiece by Gerry Mulligan, a leading figure of West Coast jazz, and Paul Desmond, famous for his performance on "Take Five" with Dave Brubeck. The two saxophonists continue their conversation freely and openly in this piano-less group. The beauty of the standard "Body and Mind" mixed with their originals is superb.
