Description

[Machine Translation] [This is a sequel to the highly popular "JAZZ THE BEST" series, which carefully selected the best of the best from the "Universal Jazz" label, which combined the prestigious labels owned by Polydor, Mercury, and Universal Victor, and released 50 titles in one volume. The 50 titles are released all at once. Clear and sharp high quality sound is realized by rubidium cutting. Includes a renewed manual (with new liner notes). This album was recorded in New Jersey on August 10, 1964. Shepp's style explodes on this album, featuring his revered Coltrane originals. Shepp dedicated this work to Coltrane, whom he respected at a time when he was gaining attention as an up-and-coming saxophonist. The unprecedented blows and flashes of development show the fullness of free jazz at that time. The fresh sound has not faded away even today.
