Description

[Machine Translation] In Memory of Eric Kanzel! Eric Kanzel, who recorded more than 80 albums for the TELARC label, celebrated his 50th anniversary in 2008. On September 1, he passed away from cancer at the age of 74. This album was recorded live to commemorate the 10th anniversary of "From the Top," a popular radio program for young musicians, and features teenage artists performing dynamic solos (one of them performed his own composition) with Kanzel & the Cincinnati Pops in the background. This album, oddly enough, was Kanzel's last. Recorded: October 27, 2008
