Description

[Machine Translation] [Prestige RVG Remastered Super Limited Encore Press] Legendary recording engineer Rudy Van Gelder will celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth in 2024! In advance of his 100th anniversary year, the legendary jazz recording engineer who supported the golden age of Prestige Records is releasing an encore pressing of "Prestige RVG Remastered Ultra Limited Edition 60", a collection of 60 masterpieces from Prestige's glorious history, which were long out of production. The boss of the tenor saxophone world, Prestidge was popular for his bold and funky playing. His smoldering charm blooms on the subjects of "rub-roo" and medium numbers. [Gene Ammons (ts), Tommy Flanagan (p), Doug Watkins (b), Art Taylor (ds), Ray Barrett (conga) Recorded at Van Gelder Studio, New Jersey, June 16, 1960
