Description

[Machine Translation] [New Dream Price 1000] R. Strauss's "Zarathustra" is best known for its magnificent orchestral opening to "Dawn," but the rich acoustics and detailed, vivid characterizations that Maazel draws from the Vienna Philharmonic, which is at his command throughout the entire work, are the most compelling aspects of the work. The rich acoustics and detailed and vivid characterization of the Vienna Philharmonic, which Maazel manipulates freely throughout the entire work, fully expresses the charm of this work. Recorded in Vienna, February 1983 (digital recording)
