Description

[Machine Translation] Carla Bley's band, "The Lost Cause", is now joined by Italian new star Paolo Fres on this album! The quintet was born when Carla Bley was captivated by the beautiful, melancholy sound of Paolo Fresse's trumpet over the headphones that the band members were listening to. Paolo Fres is one of the hottest artists in the Italian jazz scene, and has played on over 300 albums to date. All of the songs on the album are original compositions by Carla Bley, including the eccentrically titled "Banana Quintet," which is based on the number 5, and "The Death of Superman," which is based on the life of Hollywood actor Christopher Reeve.
