Description

[Machine Translation] Kaufmann's First Italian Opera Video! Tenor Jonas Kaufmann is scheduled to visit Japan in September with Opera Bologna and Bavarian State Opera. This video of "Tosca" was recorded in 2009 at the Zurich Opera House in Switzerland, where Kaufmann sings the role of the painter Cavaradossi with great passion. The role of Cavaradossi is one that is often heard in such works as "The Strange Harmony" and "The Star Shines Brightly. The soprano Tosca also sings the famous aria, "Live to sing, live to love," making the entire production worth seeing. The production is directed by Robert Carsen. The tragedy, in which the three main characters all die in the end, is made even more dramatic with effective lighting and sets.
