From your debut to now, you have bought CD albums intermittently, but the first few were not allowed in the economy when I was a student, so I can only buy them one by one now~

Even though "Distance" is not as good as "HEART STATION" or "Deep River", it doesn't mean that this album is not good. Far from that, to tell the truth. There are many sub-genre distinctions, but the album is still enjoyable to listen to. Utada has a lot of talent, and she has no problem proving it since all the songs on this CD are easy on the ears. The transition between the songs is smooth and agreeable. My personal favorites are "Wait and See", "Drama", "Eternally", "Kettobase!", and "Parody". You do not have to understand the lyrics to appreciate great music, and that said, I especially like the lyrics for "Kettobase!" and "Drama".

Hikki's really outdone herself with this album, her second effort. Not only did she avoid the infamous "sophomore slump," she pole-vaulted over it. This album has so many fun dance tracks, but the ballads are amazing as well. Utada's voice can handle much of anything! My favorite tracks from this album are "Wait and See ~RISUKU~," "DISTANCE," "Addicted to You," "TAIMU RIMITTO," and the remix of "Hayatochiri."

WOW! I love Hikki and her awesome talent, and this is no exception!!! the music is great, and totally worth having. Must buy while it's still available.

Utada is phenomenal! Can't lose with her music. Also very uplifting vibes. n.n! I recommend this CD for any Utada fan. She just keeps getting better and better. Must buy!

Hikaru's second album after the best selling First Love is no disappointment! Whilst not as good as her third and most recent japanese album Deep River, it's certainly worth a listen! She has created a more diverse album with Distance - from the pop-rock stylings of Kettobase! to the more experimental Parody. Standout tracks include the 2 aforementioned songs, as well as the lead single Wait & See, rock ballad Drama and classic R&B track You. Title track Distance was later totally resung and remixed, appearing on Deep River as Final Distance. The version here is a poppier, happier version of the song whilst Final Distance on Deep River is a ballad. The reason Distance only gets 4 stars is down to Track 11, Time Limit. Despite being produced by Dark Child, TL is a bit repetitive, with the producer repeating his name over the track at any given chance. If you're new to Hikaru I'd recommend picking up Deep River or preordering her new album ULTRA BLUE. But any Hikki fan should also have this album in their collection.
