Nanairo

I would like to thank Rubus for recommending Jazztronik to start off this review right. Wow! is all I can say about Jazztronik, I'm lost for words. It's rare that I get chills listening to some quality house, and every time that Nanairo flows into Phoenix, I get that same chill each and every time. I'm still lost for words. Nanairo as a whole is a head banger, my favorite cuts are the title track, Nanairo, Phoenix, Arabesque, Kage, and of course Samurai. All of the tracks are long, and I wished that some of them didn't end, but it does eventually. I love the way that music sounds so complicated yet captivating, and his creativity and range is impressive; different rhythms... it reminds me of the carnival festivals back home in Brazil. Thank you for paying homage to Brazil Jazztronik! You have another fan in your entourage. If you love Shinichi Osawa & Co. (aka Mondo Grosso), and Ken Ishii, then I am definitely sure that you will love Jazztronik. BUY NOW! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

I had heard of Jazztronik before. I could get down to a couple of his earlier remixes on the Hospital label, I nodded a little to his work on 'Bossa Tres... Jazz'. But in 2004, I heard a snippet of a track on Batacuda Radio and was stunned. Who the hell was it by? I had no idea. Then when browsing through a Juno Records (a mail order website), I heard the track again. This time, it had a name: Samurai. I saw the artists name: Jazztronik, and since then I have not looked back. Every album, every remix, everything the man has released, I bought and everything I bought was good, and everything was alright with the world. It all started here for me. Nanairo is The One.
