Snow Prince

DVD release from the film "Snow Prince" starring Shintaro Morimoto (Johnny's Jr.) for the first time! Produced by Jyoji Matsuoka and Kundo Koyama. The story is set in a north country village where snow is deep. A orphan boy Sota (Shintaro Morimoto) is too poor to go school, but living a good life with his grandfather, a childhood friend Sayo, and a dog named Chibi and has a dream to be an artist painter someday. One day, Sota meets a mysterious man Hagio (Tadanobu Asano), a pierrot of the circus which comes to the village. Hagio encourages Shintaro to just draw the things which he like best and looks for a rare "night sky color" paint with him. However, such happy times can't possibly last. As times go by, his grandfather passes away and Hagio is go to some other place with the circus. Although things become worse, he has not lose his pure heart and draws what he like best with the night sky color paint. And in a Christmas night, in a hard snowstorm, Shintaro and Chibi try to head to Sayo's home with his painting completed, but. . .
