Sekai no Prima Ballerina Tachi Vol.1

[Machine Translation] The Mariinsky Ballet's two prima ballerinas, Diana Vyshnyova and Ulyana Lopatkina, present a dream-like variation lesson! The program consists of four variations selected from their specialty works, along with stage footage. They discuss the technique and expression of each variation, showing their own models and explaining them in detail. Also included is an interview in which Vishnyova answers various questions about ballet. Vishnyova was filmed in the studio of her alma mater, the Waganowa Ballet Academy, in the presence of her former teacher, Ms. Kowalyova. Lopatkina was so particular about the film that she herself was present for the editing. The two dancers' personalities are well expressed in the way they teach and create the film, and it is endlessly fascinating! The film includes Odette's variation, Kitori's variation, Giselle's appearance, and Aurora's entree and variation.
