Description

[Machine Translation] Heaven has given us two things! The ideal Salome has finally appeared 100 years after her first performance! The role of Salome, for which the composer himself is said to have wished for "a 16-year-old princess with the voice of Isolde," is beautifully realized by the rising star Nadia Michaela with her appearance, lithe body, and powerful singing voice. McVicar's direction, which vividly captures the psychology of the characters, and Jordan's conducting, which allows the audience to hear every detail of the meticulous orchestration, are also of an extremely high standard. The definitive version of "Salome" is finally here. Includes a bonus disc with the documentary "David McVicar: The Stage at Work".
