Description

[Machine Translation] The forefront of European opera is here! A shocking production by the genius Bierut that exposes the sinfulness of human karma to the fullest! Known as the "Tarantino of the theater world," this revolutionary genius has always produced exciting productions that have caused controversy. In this production of "Wozzeck," the light and shadow of "humanity" are vividly portrayed while the eroticism and grotesqueness inherent in the work are pushed to the forefront, creating an overwhelming operatic experience that will leave you with a shudder. Havlata as Wozzeck and Denoke as Marie are now indispensable in "Wozzeck" productions at opera houses around the world. Weigle, a talented German conductor who also made his Bayreuth debut, and the Liceu orchestra are of the highest caliber. Recorded January 14 and 17, 2006 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu
Special Feature / Bonus Track: documentary and interview with the conductor and producer
