Screamers [Collector's Edition]

[Machine Translation] The original author Philip K. Dick himself described it as "the work in which my greatest themes were most strongly expressed". In addition to the HD master and new bonus footage, the Japanese dubbed VHS version and the Japanese dubbed TV broadcast version (Fuji Television's "Golden Western Theater" version) are included in this Blu-ray release for the first time in Japan! --In the year 2078, a decade-long battle continues between the United Earth Forces and the New Economic Bloc (NEB), a planetary development corporation, over the discovery of a beryllium ore on the planet Sirius 6B. The Allied Forces had developed a defensive weapon called the "Screamer" and deployed it on the planet, but it suddenly began to attack humans, posing a major threat to the Allied Forces. At that time, the Allied Forces learned of the betrayal of the Earth Headquarters through a communication tube that a messenger from the NEB risked his life to deliver. Suspecting a trap, Allied Base Commander Hendrickson ( Peter Weller ) heads for the NEB base to negotiate for peace, only to find that the Screamer, which was programmed to destroy all living things, has a self-repair function and is rapidly evolving into a human form. --. Many new extras! Includes 82 minutes of special features on both the main disc and the bonus disc!
