This collection brings together the complete surviving live recordings from the second leg of the legendary 1976 "Rolling Thunder Revue," a tour of freedom and fervor etched into rock history. The first leg of the tour in 1975 was carried out in the style of a "traveling troupe," with a diverse group of musicians and artists traveling from place to place with almost no advance announcement of the live performances. That tour was released in 2019 as "The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1975 Live Recordings," a 14-CD box set, and this release serves as its sequel. It is being released as a 39-CD box set containing all surviving live recordings from the second leg of the tour in 1976. Japanese domestic edition using imported discs. In contrast to the free and festive atmosphere of 1975, the 1976 tour featured a tighter sense of unity as a band and a stronger rock sound, with tense stages and passionate performances among its major attractions. Centered on Bob Dylan, the lineup included Joan Baez, Scarlet Rivera, Rob Stoner, and others, while the 1976 lineup also featured Mick Ronson, known for his work with David Bowie. His powerful guitar sound brought new intensity to the tour. Following masterpieces such as "Blood on the Tracks" and "Desire," these performances capture Dylan at his peak, overflowing with freedom, spontaneity, creativity, and confidence. 1976 marked the bicentennial of the United States. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the second leg of the legendary "Rolling Thunder Revue," a tour that sought to rediscover America and redirect the course of the increasingly massive rock business.
