1968年6月23日サンフランシスコの伝説のThe Carousel BallroomでのBig Brother and the Holding Companyとしての熱狂のライヴ。この時ジャニスは25歳。前年1967年6月にモントレー・ポップ・フェスティヴァルの熱演でジャニスの名は決定的なものになり、1968年4月に『チープ・スリル』録音、9月発売・・・その合間となる時期のライヴということでまさに鬼気迫るパフォーマンスを見せていた絶頂期。"Bear"の異名を持つ伝説のサウンドマン、オウズリー・スタンリー (グレイトフル・デッド他)によって録音されたもので、本作のマスタリングもベアーが自ら監修。 ■Blu-spec CD2
