You have raw and true, almost documental early live Santana's music sound. All musicians play very inspired, even if music isn't too complex. Possibly music there is too different from early Santana Band's albums, but it is really very interesting for fans of jamming, Santana's more jazzy-funky side.

Great sounding SACD I could not believe this old recording sounds so good. I am going to buy the rest of the Santana Quadraphonic SACD. Good packaging and fast shipping from CDJapan.

what a great combination of a master guitarist and a fantastic drummer. beautiful 7 inch version and very nice sound quality.

This is a great album. The music is vibrant and Buddy Miles participation makes it historic. The stereo layer is magnificent. I was not as impressed with the quad layer for one reason: the crowd noise. In this quad surround mixing the instruments are spread across all four speakers. When the crowd claps or cheers or whistles, they are right there with the brass. On stage! or when the clapping starts at the beginning of a track with drums in the surround speakers and they are clapping right on stage with the drummer. Distracts from the performance. I will listen again and see if my hearing can disregard the noise. I must have from a classic recording position, but rate it on the stereo layer. Thats how it would have sounded live.

Santana is one of my favorite artists. I especially like the earlier editions. I would like to have all these releases on SACD. Recommend!
