Aremon (Japanese Title)

[Machine Translation] Christian Youman, a drummer/composer from Chicago who has been rapidly gaining presence in the past few years, has completed his first solo work. This album features two vocalists who are the talk of the town. Michael Mayo, who has appeared on numerous albums by Gretchen Parlato, Becca Stevens, and others, and Erin Bentlage, who has become a household name in L.A. and is expected to make her breakthrough, deliver vocals that are in tune with the sound. Other artists on the bill include Israeli Daniel Rotem (ts, ss), who has made a splash with his collaboration with Josh Johnson (as), Alex Bonham (b) and Ido Meshullam (tb, bass tp), who were featured on Sarah Gazarek's new album "Distant Storm," and New York's own Milo Sprague (p), who is gaining attention in the NY scene. The band also includes Milo Sprague (p, rhodes), who is gaining attention in the New York scene. Except for a cover of Laura Nyro's song ( M1 ) and a floating song by Erin Bentlage ( M4 ), the rest of the songs are Christian's original compositions. His talent as a composer is unquestionable. The album title "Allemong" is the name of a street in Chicago where Christian grew up ( Allemong St. ). It is a tribute to the people and places that live in this city.
