Poldowski Re/imagined

[Machine Translation] The title "Poldowski" is the pen name of Irene Regine Wieniawski, a female composer who was quietly active in Poland in the late 19th and early 20th century. She was the youngest daughter of the famous violinist Wieniawski, who died when she was only one year old, so she grew up without knowing of her father's famous accomplishments. Wieniawski was the only one of his children to become a musician, but his works are largely unknown and buried in the stream of history. The only other recording under this pseudonym, "Verlaine Lieder," was a great success, but it, too, has been gradually forgotten. In this recording, David Jackson has added brilliant arrangements and succeeded in reviving Poldowski's works in a fresh new form.
