Schumann: Klavierkonzert Op.54/Konzertstuck Op.92 [Limited Release]

[Machine Translation] [Kemp Masterpieces 1000] German pianist Wilhelm Kemp ( 1895-1991 ) excelled at classical and romantic repertoire such as Beethoven, Brahms, and Bach. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of his death, the "Kemp Masterpieces 1000" series is being released as an encore pressing. Kemp's Schumann is very clear, and his unique technique clearly reveals the unfathomable musical universe of this composer. Kemp plays Schumann, which is considered difficult to understand, with great care and attention, as if he were unraveling the intertwined threads one by one. Furthermore, there is always a pure German literary flavor and infinite fantasy inherent in the music, and Kemp's ability to express all of these elements on the piano is astonishing even after all this time. Schumann with such richness and flavor cannot be found in any modern pianist, and is therefore extremely valuable. This is the only recording with Kubelik. [Performed by Wilhelm Kemp (piano), Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Conductor: Raphael Kubelik Recorded in Munich, December 1973
