Description

[Machine Translation] [Kemp Masterpieces 1000] German pianist Wilhelm Kemp ( 1895-1991 ) excelled at classical and romantic repertoire such as Beethoven, Brahms, and Bach. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of his death, the "Kemp Masterpieces 1000" series is being released as an encore pressing. Kemp's Schubert is a work of endless songfulness. The melody is always the first priority in his singing, and the poetic world of sound unfolds from his piano. As a young man, Kemp not only performed solo piano works, but also actively accompanied songs. In his later recollections, Kemp described this experience as invaluable. This can be seen in the series of Schubert recordings. Kemp has captured the inexhaustible wellspring of Schubert's music from every aspect, and has given us its mellow fragrance. Recorded August 1967 in Hannover
