Beethoven: Klaviersonaten Nos.30.31.32 [Limited Release]

[Machine Translation] [Kemp Masterpieces 1000] German pianist Wilhelm Kemp ( 1895-1991 ) excelled at classical and romantic repertoire such as Beethoven, Brahms, and Bach. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of his death, the "Kemp Masterpieces 1000" series is being released as an encore pressing. Kemp's music cannot be talked about without mentioning Beethoven. After the war, Kemp and Backhaus established themselves as the world's greatest Beethoven players. However, their playing styles were in complete contrast to each other. Backhaus, who was uncompromising in his expression and maintained a solitary spirituality, was deeply attentive to Kemp's spirit with a warm, humanistic gaze. His Beethoven, which resembles a pious prayer to God, is something that today's pianists could never hope to achieve, and the deep emotion one feels after listening to it can only be said to be unique to Kemp's world. Recorded January 1964 in Hannover
