Description

[Machine Translation] "Pit Inn Label " Here is a beautiful, profound, and timeless performance of the inherited philosophy of jazz that must be played! Fumio Karashima QUINTET Live at Shinjuku Pit Inn in 2011. The driving force behind the Fumio Karashima Quintet is the presence of musicians, both famous and unknown, who have been influenced by the jazz spirit of Fumio Karashima, both tangible and intangible. The quintet's aura of generously sharing the jazz spirit inherited from Elvin Jones with its younger members, without losing it, may be said to be a factor in the birth of this quintet. This is the first time in 21 years that the Fumio Karashima Quintet has recorded at his home ground, the Shinjuku Pit Inn. The quintet's performance is beautiful, profound, and timeless, and it is a performance of the philosophy of jazz that has been passed down from generation to generation.
