小曽根真が日本人として初めて米CBSレーベルと専属契約して、デビュー・アルバムを発表した直後の1985年4月にスタジオ収録された映像。大ベテランのG.バートン、E.ゴメスのサポートによる小曽根真24歳の初々しくも溌刺としたドラム・トリオは、当時の米国でのレコード評で「小曽根は故ビル・エヴァンスを継ぎ得る存在-G.バートンにとってパット・メセニー以来の大発見」と記された通り、リリシズム溢れるインタープレイを聴かせてくれる。所々に少女のイメージ・カットがインサートされるが、基本的にはシンプルな演奏シーン。スタジオ収録なのでカメラ位置の自由度も高く、当時の映像としてはクオリティも良い。
