This is what "the rock of the future" has become. Four evolved musicians weave eight tapestries on their latest studio album, created by the four original members from the band's debut as if returning to their roots after many twists and turns. From new wave and country folk to alternative rock, their ever-changing sound has grown stronger and richer over 40 years. This album captures a veteran band moving forward in the present with a character unlike its younger days. It also includes Pearl Brothers with Nana Mizuki's "Nukumori Ressha." This new studio recording embodies the determination to move forward from here. The exceptional instincts of guitarist Haruo Kubota, who handled composition, arrangement, and sound production, combine with the skill of veteran musicians Bakabon Suzuki on bass and Toshiya Matsunaga on drums to weave elements of new wave, country folk, alternative rock, and more into a dense, refined, flexible, and powerful band sound. In a world where people are constantly rushed, carry an inexplicable sense of impatience, and turn to the AI beside them for advice, what will become of the bonds between person and person, and between you and me? Vocalist Kenzo Saeki's perspective on the times, capturing the modern world, is equally striking. The album also includes "Nukumori Ressha," featuring leading anime-song singer Nana Mizuki as a guest on backing vocals and announcements. This unusual folk-country-style song for the band explores the fate of warmth amid the increasingly uniform landscape of modern Japan, where the distinctions between rural areas and cities are fading. The third installment in Pearl Brothers' consecutive 40th anniversary release project.
