おばちゃん遺伝子が、日本をど～んと元気にする! パワフルなおばちゃんたちが、"人情の街"大阪を舞台に繰り広げる、笑えて、ほろりと泣ける痛快! 浪花節コメディー!! 主演は"2時間ドラマの帝王"と呼ばれ、俳優としての存在感とバラエティーでの活躍でお茶の間に不動の人気を築いている船越英一郎。ヒロイン・麻衣子をいきいきと演じたのはソロシンガーとして活躍中であり、今作が映画初出演となったmisono。共演は、京唄子、南果歩、宮地真緒、渡辺いっけい、伊武雅刀ら豪華メンバーが顔を揃え、さらに徳井優、河本準一(次長課長)、など大阪色満載のカラフルなキャストが実現! 建設会社ノエリートだった家弓修平(船越英一郎)は、長年の夢であった方言研究をするために会社を辞め、はるばる東京から大阪までやって来る。しかし大阪は修平にとって異国の地。のっけから下宿先『樋元商店』のおかみさん・千春(京唄子)を筆頭に"おばちゃん"たちが修平の前に立ちはだかり、その勢いにブンブン振り回される。職場の大学では生徒たちにコケにされ、妻(南果歩)にも愛想をつかされ、下宿先では、おばちゃんたちにメタメタにされる修平の日々・・・。唯一の安らぎは、向かいのアパートに住む麻衣子(misono)との時間であった。そんな中、実は借金まみれだった樋元商店にとうとう地上げ屋の魔の手が迫ってくる! 商店がなくなれば、みんなの井戸端会議場がなくなってしまう! おばちゃんたちの絶対絶命の危機! さあ、どないする!?
