Touch the Sound

[Machine Translation] A pleasant sound experience that stimulates all the senses. A film that invites you into the world of music that she, who is hearing impaired, feels not only with her ears but also with her body! Winner of the Critics Award at the Locarno International Film Festival 2004. Evelyn Glennie and Fred Frith choose a large abandoned factory site as the recording studio for their new CD. For them, everything from the machines to the railings is an instrument, and music is made from the "sounds" they come into contact with. Evelyn is almost deaf due to a hearing impairment. However, when she touches them, music is born. The tour begins with an experience of her mysterious world of sound and images. At the airport in Cologne and on the streets of New York, she encounters a variety of sounds. When the mystery is solved, the door to "the sound that is there" begins to open.
