Description

[Machine Translation] German mezzo-soprano Michaela Schuster made her debut as Herodias in "Salome" at the Royal Opera in 2008. Since then, she has taken on a wide range of roles and has been highly acclaimed for her expressive singing in all of them. The album, which takes its title from Korngold's song cycle "Unverganglichkeit" ("The Immortal"), is all about eternal longing and universality, and the songs, all by late Romantic composers, are carefully chosen and sung according to their respective titles. The songs by Mahler and Reger, Weill's twists and turns, and Korngold's central piece, are all well worth listening to.
Note: This is an import edition (manufactured outside of Japan).
