Isshoku Sokuhatsu [Limited Edition / Clear Sky Blue Vinyl]

The masterpiece "Isshoku Sokuhatsu," born in the dawn of Japanese rock, was released in 1974, the same year as works such as "Kurofune" by Sadistic Mika Band and "Gedo" by Gedo in Japan, while overseas releases included "Red" by King Crimson, "Burn" by Deep Purple, "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" by Genesis, "Court and Spark" by Joni Mitchell, "Sheer Heart Attack" by Queen, and "Diamond Dogs" by David Bowie. It is remarkable that this work was created with almost no time lag from the progressive rock scene that was reaching its peak in the UK, and it stands as a miraculous album showcasing outstanding technical ability in creating such an advanced work in an era without information. As a result, it has not aged at all and continues to receive high praise internationally as it is rediscovered. Influenced by the increasing number of visits by overseas artists to Japan in the early 1970s, the band shifted from a blues rock and hard rock base to a progressive style incorporating lyricism and humor, while developing a unique identity combined with a psychedelic poetic world in this album. Four young members in their twenties independently created a sound interpreting the hard rock and progressive rock mainstream in the US and UK at the time. It is also known as Japan's first self-produced album, and remains a must-listen masterpiece not only for core music fans but also for younger listeners.
