This little, ordinary looking Koyudo brush is a surprising find. It is perfect for blush, contouring and highlighting (it's named the highlighter brush). It is especially great for those hard to pick up powder formulas or light shades as it picks up enough with one swipe because it is dyed goat, so remember to use a light hand. It allows for build up of products fast, and it can handle most formulas, except I wouldn't use creams with it as it is dyed goat hair, though you can use it however you want, the recommendation is to avoid cream products to extend the life of your dyed goat hair bristles. The softness of this brush is listed as a 7/10 and I would say it isn't that soft out of the box, it takes a couple washes to start feeling that soft, but then my skin is sensitive and softness is subjective. I love this brush and highly recommend you get it while you still can because it is discontinued and once stock runs out, it will be gone

it is the worst hair quality brush i have ever bought on CDjapan, very rough, the feeling is like they cut the bristle at the end, I don't like to use it on my face, so poor quality for japanese made natural hair brush, shouldn't like this.

I use this brush both for contouring and blushes. Because it has a quite a sharp slanted side, it can apply a bit harshly and hard to blend if you are too heavy handed. It took me a bit of learning to use it well, now i use it in sweeping motion to apply blushes (with the flat surface area sweeping my face rather than the thin side). For contour, I only use this to apply the powder, and use another brush to blend it out. On the plus side, it is really affordable for a natural hair brush and the hair is so soft and comfortable!

What can I say about this brush other than that I'm in love with it? This is THE contour brush I've been searching for, only better. It's very slim and fits just perfectly into the hollow of my cheekbones, creating the most natural and effortless contoured cheek. I use it with my Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder and Surratt Grisaille and it is magic. I also have the Surratt sculpting brush which is a similar angled shape and costs over twice as much and I can say wholeheartedly that the Koyudo outshines it in every respect. The hair is so, so soft and the bristles are perfectly angled to not just place product on your cheeks but also blend and buff it in lightly, just by rotating the angle you hold the brush. This is up there in my top 3 cheek brushes right now and I cannot recommend it highly enough!! Just amazing in every respect!

I have several Japanese angled and fan brushes solely for use for contouring, blushing and highlighting. This is the one I grab the most because it is the most efficient. Compared to other brushes, this Has the most angle and longest tip, making it perfect in following the hollows of your cheeks and applying highlighter. I highly recommend this particular brush.

Love this brush. It's very very efficient. I use it for blush, contouring and highlighting (just use the sharp corner). The quality of Koyudo brushes is amazing. After having used a lot of Koyudo brushes for more then a year, I can't even imagine using brushes one can find at the counters at the department stores in the US. No comparison. Quality wise this brush is ten times better then any brush you can find for $25 in the US.

The BP026 angled highlighter brush has become irreplaceable to me. Although I do not use it for highlighting. I prefer to use this as a contour brush. It is dense for its size and shape and slightly tougher hair then I am accustomed to from Koyudo. However, the hair not being as soft as a bunny is actually better because it is more efficient for contour work that way. It fits perfectly right under those cheek bones and blends the product beautifully. Try it out, you're welcome ;-)
